  2. Does aviation help unite people around the world who would otherwise never meet or be associated with another? What do we know now about others' lives and experiences because of flight?

  3. Through aviation, people have become connected to eachother in ways they weren't able to before. What does this mean exactly? How has this connection "changed" humankind?

  4. Aviation plays a big role in our world by letting people travel around the world quickly, and people can send letters and gifts halfway around the world using aircraft. One bad thing is that aircraft can introduce new diseases, plants, and animals that the natural people/plants/animals can't adapt to, or changing the entire ecosystem, like when dingoes were brought to Australia. justin

  5. Aviation plays the role of showing us how we can improve flight, or what to add so we can make it better. It helps us to study weight, height, speed, length etc.
Flight also helps us to travel through the sky, to enjoy the veiws, and travel across the world which you can't do by car because it would be too far!

  6. I think the role that aviation plays is big in our world. Without aviation we couldn't go to places around the world like China, Russia, Japan or anywhere else. Well, you could go but it would take a long time. Aviation can also get many things from different places. Jahkobi

  7. Aviation is a big factor in our world because it lets us travel across places in a matter of hours. In addition, it provides transportation for carrying canned goods, aerial photography for animals, war efforts and people for tourism. However, it can also be carrying around diseases between countries if you're not careful. Quincy

  8. From the homeowners perspective, Aviation plays a huge role in their lives because aviation helps you travel places quickly, and even though it's a great tool, it has its disadvantages . Aviation is great but if you live too near an airport the incoming planes can be frightning and loud. Also the chemicals used to de-ice planes during a storm is bad for your health and somtimes if the plane is not de-iced properly the chemicals could get into the piping systems.

  9. I think that avation plays a good role for travelling items or to visit family that might live acroos the ocean. However I think that scientists should try to help the enviroment by making some planes that are environmentally friendly. If this worked they should make all planes like that because some animals or plants can't adapt to airplanes and they're getting diseases and dying.

  10. The role of aviation is that you can travel around the world in a small amount of time. I think that every body’s time is valuable so aviation can help us have more time. Stephanie

  11. From the travelers' perspective, aviation plays a big role. Aviation allows travelers to reach their destination in a short amount of time, and they can visit family, friends and new places in different countries around the world. But, when traveling, you always have to be careful around jetlag, cabin fever, and food poisoning. Holly

  12. Aviation plays a huge role in our world today. We use it to travel, as entertainment(like airshows), and we even use it as a means of activity(like parachuting)! It helps with our everyday lives and also the more unusual sports. Planes make visiting family or just going on a vacation a lot easier. I think aviation is a great invention that really helps our civilization. Sophie

  13. Aviation lets us travel long distances in a short amount of time. Air planes however contribute to noise pollution and to global warming which from the perspective of a community close to an airport, this makes it harder to concentrate in school (close to the airport) and makes children's playgrounds more polluted from the fumes flying over head. Keiko :o)

  14. If we don't have air planes we can't travel anywhere in the world. Matthew

  15. I would like to add to Keiko's thought, aviation doesn't only disrupt schools but it also disrupts homes and wildlife! Though I love travelling, I think that our world needs to cutback until a non-polluting gas is invented. Sophie

  16. Matthew, has have made a strong statement and I would like to read more about your thoughts and ideas which support it or do not support this statement. What kind of travel purposes are you thinking about - tourism; medical; rescue/recovery? Are there alternatives to aviation which provides the same effective use of time travel?

Keiko and Sophie have both made good points about the concerns of noise pollution and fuel toxins. What about the building or expansion of airports in communities? Does this play a role in aviation?

  17. Aviation makes a big impact on our community. Without aviation, it would be more difficult to get to far places overseas like China or India. Although aviation can harm the environment and create more pollution it has many benefits required when time and distance travel needs to be considered. Ravi

  18. Aviation plays a huge role in our world today because aviation lets us travel long distances in a short amount of time. However, if you look at it from a different perspective, it disrupts daily life in close communities by the airport, in addition to natural habitats being destroyed for wildlife to live. Jess

  19. Aviation plays an important role in our world because almost everyone loves flying to different countries for vacation. Another role aviation plays is through trade: imports and exports. By imports and exports I mean things get delivered to other countries or brought into our country. Examples are fruit, wheat, lumber, fuel, etc. Victoria

  20. I think aviation plays an important role in our world because let us travel all around the world in the air too many places around the world josh

  21. The more frequently airports are built in communities it causes global warming and toxic fuel gases to rise in that area. It also has a good effect. By building an airport in a small community, the economy becomes stronger because of visitors and the community builds because of visitors who stay for extended periods of time. Keiko
